My first experience with AI dates back to the initial hackathon I led in 2017, where an MIT team member integrated AI into a working prototype. But like many others, I didn’t begin using AI in a practical, day-to-day way until 2023.
Since then, I’ve woven AI into my personal workflows, innovation resources, and long-term strategy work. The most robust implementation has been in support of my Virtual Natives 2040 foresight initiative. I built an AI agent that curates and summarizes foresight signals—automatically pulling from newsfeeds, filtering based on relevance, and saving enriched data to a structured knowledge base.
One of the more dynamic experiments has been the use of AI to simulate possible futures. I developed a set of interactive AI personas, each representing a different individual living in a plausible 2040 scenario. These personas are used as thinking partners—enabling users to “interview the future” and stretch their assumptions about what might come next. This has since informed a team initiative to help global workers craft futures-informed strategies.
AI now supports much of my research, content development, and workshop design. From trend tracking to mock interviews to brainstorming prompts, I treat AI as a support layer—always with human leadership and discernment at the core.
Through testing, iteration, and real-world use, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of both the capabilities and the limitations of AI and how it can strengthen mission-aligned innovation when applied thoughtfully.
